Participating in Riftbound events through the Riftbound Gaming Network requires a Riot Games account connected to a Riftbound profile. This one-time setup links a Riot identity to a Riftbound account for registering and playing in supported events.
Before Getting Started
Have the following ready:
A Riot Games account (or be prepared to create one)
A Riftbound / Disney Lorcana Play Hub account (or be prepared to create one)
A chosen Riot Game Name and Tagline
Connection Steps
Riot Account Set-up
Navigate to the Riot Games account sign in page
Sign in or create a new account
In Account Management > Riot ID, set a Game Name and Tagline – This is the public-facing handle visible to other players. The Game Name and Tagline must be set before connecting to Riftbound.
Note: Carde.io support is not able to assist with the Riot account sign-up process. For assistance setting up your Riot account, or if you encounter any issues on Riot's end of things, you can find their support page here:

Tips & Troubleshooting
Set Game Name and Tagline first – The connection may not complete correctly if the Riot Game Name and Tagline have not been configured.
Authorization is a one-time step – Once linked, re-authorization is not required unless the accounts are disconnected.
Invalid Request Error – If you see an Invalid Request error, be sure that you are signing in to Riot using your Riot Game Name, not your email.
Changing your Game Name – If you've updated your Game Name on Riot's side and don't see it update after clicking the refresh icon, double-check that you have the correct account linked and try disconnecting and reconnecting the account instead.
Account being dropped during an event – Riftbound accounts must have a Riot account linked in order to participate in Riftbound events. If your account does not have a Riot account linked, you will be dropped from the event automatically. If you do have a Riot account linked and are still being dropped or the Tournament Organizer does not see the connection on their dashboard, double-check that the correct account has been registered for the event.
