Changing a Player Account Email Address and Password

How to update the email address and password for a player account.

Players can change their account email address and password from the settings in their account. This applies to accounts on the following sites:

Note: It's not possible to change the account email or password for accounts on the 2.0 Dashboard. Instead, visit the Invite Members to an Organization guide to replace the account and follow the steps here under Reset Your Password to change the account password.

Change Account Email

To change the email address for an account:

  1. Log in to the account

  2. Click on the user at the top right

  3. Select Profile & Settings

  4. Click on Account Management

  5. Under Email Address, enter the current account email, the new desired email, and the current password for the account

  6. Click Change Email

  7. Check your email inbox and click the verification link to activate the account under the new email address

Note: The account email cannot be changed to an email address that already has an account associated with it.

Change Account Password

To change the password for an account while logged in:

  1. Click on the user at the top right

  2. Select Profile & Settings

  3. Click on Account Management

  4. Under Password, enter the current password, new password, and confirm the new password

  5. Click Change Password

Reset Your Password

If you forgot your password and cannot log in, or you want to change the password for an account on the 2.0 Dashboard, you can reset your password by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the log in page

  2. Click on Forgot password?

  3. Enter your email address and click Send Reset Link

  4. Follow the instructions sent to your email to create and set a new password

  5. Navigate to the log in page again and log in with your new password

Troubleshooting Steps

Not Receiving the Reset Email

  • Check your spam or junk email folder to ensure the reset email wasn’t incorrectly filtered

  • Add the sender email - [email protected] - to your contacts, wait about ten minutes, then request the email again to ensure it's not being blocked by your email provider

Email Address Issues

  • Make sure you’re entering the correct email address associated with your account
